So who’s the “gal” behind Hockey Gal Milwaukee?
Well, my name is Stephanie Muraro, and I am a hockey nut living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I got my start in hockey media 4 years ago with the American Hockey League Milwaukee Admirals. During my tenure, I’ve hosted the Admirals Center Ice radio show on 1250 WSSP, served as the post-game locker room reporter for the Admirals Post-game show, and written for several websites, including milwaukeeadmirals.com, thehockeywriters.com, examiner.com and sportsbubbler.com. I’ve been a busy gal.
In 2009, I was approached to write a blog about the NHL by sportsbubbler.com, and so I named it Hockey Gal Milwaukee. I’m a big BS report fan, well, Bill Simmons in general. His wife is known on the show as “Sports Gal”, so I decided that Milwaukee needed a “Hockey Gal”. And so a philosphy was born…
Hockey Gal Milwaukee is all about hockey, from the perspective of a smart ass female who has been in the business for a while. I’m here to give you my honest and sometimes witty opinion about the hockey universe. We might not always agree on specific issues, but we sure as hell think hockey is the greatest sport on earth.
I hope you enjoy reading HGM as much as I enjoy writing it. I’ve met a lot of incredible people along the way, and look forward to talking hockey with each and every one of you.
